Massachusetts Militia Button / SOLD

Massachusetts Militia Button, commonwealth arms on plain field with "MASSACHUSETTS" on a ribbon below, (22mm) flat one part, Robinsons Extra, (22mm)  Backmark: "R & W. ROBINSON/ATTLEBOROUGH", two inner solid rings.  Flat, one piece coat button.  This button from the 1830s was the first to depict an entire commonwealth arms.  Early one-piece state seal button.  Excellent condition with shank intact and plentiful gold gilt finish remaining.
