Model 1855 Bayonet and Scabbard / SOLD

Model 1855 bayonet for use with the U.S. Model 1855, 1861, and 1863 rifle muskets. The blade has a deep “US” marking and has black paint on the socket and one side of the blade. The bayonet is housed in a Civil War 7-rivet scabbard. The leather is in solid, supple condition with a maker’s mark partially visible on the frog.  A nice complete ensemble for your Civil War rifle musket.
