Model 1855 Cartridge Box - Inventory Number: LEA 225 / Sold

The classic soldier’s accoutrement, designed to carry 40 rounds of ammunition to the battlefield.  This fine example was manufactured by Baker and McKinney of New York.  The box is complete with both tins and both roller buckles.  A portion of the closure tab is lacking.  Leather is smooth with truly little crackling to the surface.  Very representable example of this classic soldier’s accoutrement.
