Model 1855 Saber Bayonet / SOLD

Model 1855 Saber Bayonet - Inventory Number: BAY 187 / SOLD

Scarce original brass handled saber bayonet for the Model 1855 rifle-musket.  The bayonet is unmarked except for the inspector’s stamp on the brass handle.  The blade is full length.  The metal is a nice grey color with only a few small spots of staining/ pitting.  This model bayonet was also used with the late alteration 1841 rifle.
