Mourning Brooch - Inventory Number: PER 440

Civil War era mourning brooch set into a lovely heavily gold-plated ornate mount. A good-sized piece. “In Memory Of” in gold letters brided lock of hair is enclosed in the center of the brooch. With period correct tube hinge and "c" clasp closure. Excellent condition - no chips or cracks. Typical rolled gold mount.  “H.W.” engraved on the reverse.

Comes housed in riker display case with black velvet and descriptive card.
