    NCO Sword Belt Plate - Inventory Number: BEL 543 / SOLD

    Excellent condition example of the model 1851 non-commissioned officer’s sword belt. This regulation model 1851 sword belt plate was prescribed for use with Non-commissioned officers. The plate was also issued to artillery and cavalry; this plate exhibits the median rays of the sunburst that extend above the eagle. This plate features a crisp detailed one-piece silver wreath. It retains the original keeper with matching patina and bench number.

    Excellent condition example of the model 1851 non-commissioned officer’s sword belt plate with spread eagle holding a banner reading: “E Pluribus Unum”.  Nice three-piece silver wreath and finely detailed eagle. US Allegheny Arsenal stamp on the reverse with keeper which has excellent fit but mismatched patina.

    Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with black velvet backing and descriptive card.
