Outstanding example of the Jeff Davis Hardee hat device. Intricately detailed embroidered eagle with sequins on a mint black velvet field encircled by the twisted brass boarder.  The reverse retains the polished cotton backing and one of the loops.  Almost impossible to find a prettier example!
