Outstanding example of the Jeff Davis Hardee hat device. Intricately detailed spread-winged eagle of bullion thread and sequins on dark black velvet. Once adhered to a paper backing, this example retains its original brass post to affix to a high crown shako. In overall excellent condition. A must have if you have a shako or collect variants of the Jeff Davis devices. 

Comes housed in a 6 x 8 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
