Absolutely beautiful example of the regulation sword belt plate used by officers in the Civil War. This finely detailed example exhibits a checkered background and deep detail to the feathering of the eagle. A crisp motto of: "E Pluribis Unum" in a banner atop the eagle. Nearly all its original gold guilt finish remains.
