Wonderful example of a smooth side Model 1858 canteen with well executed scene depicting a drum with drumsticks, bugle, and US and a patriotic streamer embellished with stars on blue field. A stunning example of artifact turned into art. There is a section of canteen which water it once held rusted through before being recovered from the field on the reverse.
