Pattern 1851 sword belt buckle for cavalry and artillery enlisted men and worn by infantry NCOs. This style has the applied German silver wreath with two additional wreath sections above the eagle’s wings. The tongue bears the stamped benchmark “804.” A very attractive Civil War belt buckle.
