Relic "Body - Hook" Bayonet - Inventory Number: REL 107 / SOLD
Pattern 1853 Enfield bayonet, recovered from the battlefield of Fredericksburg, VA. This socket bayonet was fashioned into a hook, often for the purpose of hanging cooking pots and cups, other times as a "body hook" to remove deceased soldiers from the field of battle. This example is a very solid relic and a true conversation piece.
