Remington New Model Pocket revolver, spur trigger, 5-shot, originally
.31 caliber percussion, now factory-converted to 32 Rimfire metallic cartridge,
3.5" octagon barrel, walnut grips, brass half-moon front sight, originally
finished in nickel, manufactured 1863-1888, serial # 25,525 with conversion
number 3,213.
Condition: Original serial # 25,525 matches on underside of barrel and on left side of frame under the left grip. Conversion number 3,213 matches on cylinder and conversion ring. Original walnut grips are in excellent condition, never sanded or refinished, no splits or cracks, just a tiny chip at edge. Originally full factory nickel, the cylinder retains about 80% of the nickel finish, the barrel and frame about 90%. Good bore with evident rifling, no deep pits. Hammer spring is very strong, and action is super tight. Half cock functions properly for removal of the cylinder after the cylinder pin is pulled. Very neat little Remington New Model Pocket Conversion rarely encountered.
