Revolutionary War British Fusil Bayonet - Inventory Number:  BAY 266

This is a circa 1775-1780 English fusil bayonet and scabbard. The Fusil was a lighter and smaller version of the standard musket for officers and sergeants to carry.

Iron socket bayonet is very good condition. Measures 17 ½” overall with a 14” triangular blade. The two bottom sides feature fullers while the top of the blade remains flat. Rolled back edge on socket with unbroken bridge. Iron remains clean and mostly a smooth dark brown patina. A nice example of a scarce Revolutionary War English bayonet.
