The Cogswell New York state contract was patterned after the Ely Whitney muskets, like the Pomeroy state contract muskets.  If one is looking for a Connecticut State musket, these are very scarce seldom seen.  This example shows honest filed use and some peppering at the breach from use as both a flintlock and percussion musket attesting to its use as an armament!
