Scarce Factory Engraved Manhattan Pocket Revolver - Inventory Number: HAN 092 / SOLD
36 Caliber, 5- Shot revolver with 4” barrel. Frame and cylinder are factory engraved. - Serial #749. Manufactured from 1858 to 1862, this is an example of a Series II Pocket Model with the December 27, 1859 patent date stamped on the underside of the frame and the one line New York address stamped on the top barrel flat. The frame has a scroll and punch dot engraving with wedges of the engraving behind the hammer and on the lower section of the back strap. The stagecoach scene is engraved on the 6-shot cylinder with 12 cylinder stops. The barrel is numbered to the gun.
