Sheffield Bowie Knife - Inventory Number: EDG 068 /SOLD

Outstanding example of a large Civil War side knife. Measuring 13 ¼” long, constructed with a stag antler grips and silver cross guard.  The blade retains its original polish.  The ricasso is deeply marked: “J. Rodgers and Sons. No. 6 Norfolk St. Sheffield”.  The original leather sheath had silver mounts and a leather body with a tooled horizonal rope embossing on both sides.  Belt loops is present and firmly affixed.  Just as wonderful an example as can be encountered.
