Anti-slavery pamphlet authored by the Meeting of Friends (Quakers) in 1839, arguing from a biblical point of view the evils of slavery in the United States. Printed in Philadelphia by Merrihew and Thompson in 1841. 46 pages bound in brown paper, the 7 ½” by 4 ¼” pamphlet is somewhat fragile with scattered foxing throughout. A scarce antislavery pamphlet from the antebellum years.
Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
