SNY Belt Plate - Inventory number: BEL 261 / SOLD

Scarce example of the 1839 pattern small S.N.Y. Belt Plate.  The face is beautiful and shows no discoloration or wear with a crisp "SNY" stamping.  Reverse has 100% of the lead fill with both the single arrowhead hook and tongue present.  This example was originally part of the collection of Bill Gavin, noted author on Civil War Buckles.
