Bill's"  Enlisted on 5/9/1861 at New York, NY as a 1st Lieutenant.  On 6/25/1861 he was commissioned into Field and Staff NY 15th.  He was Mustered Out on 7/3/1865 at Washington, DC.  He was listed as: POW 1/11/1863, confined 1/15/1863 Richmond, VA, and paroled 2/1/1863.  Promotions Captain 10/16/1861, Lt Col 5/30/1865.
