United States Army Percussion Caps - Inventory Number: BUL

Original paper wrapped tin of 250 U.S. Army musket caps. The lid of the tin is labeled “UNITED STATES ARMY CAPS. Water Proof. 250.” The bottom of the outer paper label is marked “1000.” Four of these tins would have originally been wrapped together and delivered to the arsenals to be wrapped together with musket cartridges. An appropriate addition to a Civil War smalls arms display.
