U.S. Box Plate / Sold

Nice, excavated example from Fredericksburg, VA.  The face wears a beautiful chocolate brown patina.  The reverse is lacking both iron loops.  Additionally, the soldier has carved a fern leaf pattern in the lead fill.  Neat example!
