USMC Model 1875 Noncommissioned Officers' Sword / SOLD

Handsome Marine Corps Model 1875 Marine NCO sword with a 29½" long bright stainless-steel Solingen-made blade, etched on both sides with floral designs and "United States Marines", and bearing a maker’s marking: W.H. Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia. The brass hilt displays a high degree of detail, and the grip is complete with the original wire wrap. The leather-wrapped metal scabbard shows light wear and overall, the sword is in excellent condition. The sword is based on the Model 1850 Foot Officers' sword and is not commonly encountered.
