Wonderful Matching Pair of Civil War Calvary Spurs with a Leather Strap - Inventory Number: CAV 112

Wonderful set of unexcavated, intact brass cavalry spurs commonly used during the Civil War. Each spur shank exhibits strap loop cutouts with squared inside corners, along with a freewheeling, sharp 14-tooth iron rowel in good condition attached to each neck. Both brass spurs are wartime manufacture with characteristics typical for those devices such as the horizontal center groove. Each side shank ends in strap loop cutouts with squared inside corners and slightly rounded corners. The spurs present a clean design with flowing lines and both are strong, well-made and not bent or distorted in any way. One spur retains its original leather strap. These original brass spurs are military style and could be a great cavalry collectable and would make a fine addition to any Civil War cavalry display or collection.
