This Civil War carbine cartridge box is complete with the belt loops, buckles and tabs are in place, includes its original interior wood block. The finish is deep black, and the belt loops, tabs and inner flap show a deep luster. Maker marked. The box is a nice example of the universal style of carbine box that war issued to the Union Cavalry.
