Civil War Colonel’s Cased Epaulette - Inventory Number: INS 360
Civil War colonel’s full-dress epaulettes in the original Japanned tin case. The epaulettes are in very good condition and constructed of gold bullion fabric with bullion tassels hanging from brass crescents. The underside of each epaulette is lined with padded red silk and red Moroccan leather.
Pinned to each epaulette is a colonel’s eagle insignia made from embroidered billion and sequins, with accents to the eye and beak. The tin carrying case is in good condition with some light rubs, with a near-mint Japanned finish on the interior. A wonderful complete set for a Civil War officer’s display.
