Civil War US ‘Bullseye” Canteen /SOLD

Civil War Union 7-ring canteen. This is the classic style known to collectors as the "Bullseye” pattern with the reinforcement rings stamped on each side. The tin strap loops are missing from this canteen. The pewter spout bears the faint maker’s mark of Hadden, Porter & Booth, a Philadelphia tin and hardware firm that delivered hundreds of thousands of canteens throughout the entire war. The canteen has a large period repair at the bottom that appears to have been done in the field and some dings and dents throughout.
