Battle of Gettysburg
Excavated Confederate 23mm Artillery button of two-piece construction with a lined Roman “A” on the face. This style is listed as CSA203A5 in Tice’s button book and is of English manufacture. The blank back still retains the shank which is pushed in. The button has a dark green patina with a large push on the face. A representative Confederate Artillery button that came through the blockade. From a collection of local Gettysburg Relics recovered in the 1950’s. Accompanied by certificate of authenticity.
Comes housed in a display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
