The English Version of the Polyglot Bible - Printed by Lippencot of Philadelphia. The bible contains a section with handwritten entries of family births and death and an additional inscription in the back presenting the Bible to their children.
Private Henry Martin served with the 3rd Alabama Infantry C.S.A. and Served from 1861 to 1865. He is listed as Wounded at Charleston, Virginia August 22, 1864 and as a Prisoner of War – Captured at Harper’s Farm April 6th 1865, soon to be released on an Oath of Allegiance at Point Lookout Maryland.
