High Grade Civil War Officer’s Cased Spurs with 1861 Note - Inventory
Number: CAV 055 / SOLD
Very fine pair of rooster neck spurs with iron and brass attachment buckles. They come in a custom-made brown velvet case lined with copper colored silk, with silver hinges and closure device. Accompanying the spurs is a note on a piece of Civil War stationery that is difficult to read. “…sold to (illegible) the following 1st day of May 1861..” A maroon hat cord or other device surrounds the spurs within the case. An excellent set that is open to further research.
