"Jeff Davis” Hardee Hat Insignia - Inventory Number: INS 258

Original stamped brass "Jeff Davis" or Hardee Hat eagle insignia used to pin up the side of the Army felt dress hat. Brass surface has an even mellow gold patina and both original loops affixed to the reverse as well as the wire to crimp the hat brim. This one is broken just where the eagle clutches the arrows. Displayed in a riker case with red felt backing.

Comes housed in a 5 x 6 inch display case with red velvet backing and descriptive card.
