Militia Drummer’s Buckle - Inventory Number: MUS 122 / SOLD

Drumstick carriage buckle of similar design to the regulation U.S. regulation brass version but constructed of rolled sheet tin painted black. This plate was affixed to the drummer’s sling of the drummer and stored the drumsticks when not in use. The reverse has an attachment hook constructed of a single piece of wire soldered in place. The buckle measures 3 ¼” by 2 ¾”. A scarce variant.
