Officer’s “Rooster Neck” Spurs by Rigby - Inventory Number: CAV 073 / SOLD

Outstanding pair of brass officer’s spurs by John Rigby III of Dublin. Known for retailing firearms and other military goods, the firm carried an array of regalia. This pair of matching spurs feature rooster neck designs with an untouched even patina and deep stamp on each heel band reading “RIGBY”. The spurs retain the original sharp iron rowels. One of the most pleasing patinas on any object we’ve offered. Rigby’s firm name has been discovered on pistols used in Confederate service.
