Union Eagle Breast Plate Cumberland Gap, VA – Inventory Number: BEL 538 Excellent example of an excavated Civil War Union breast plate worn on the strap of the cartridge box. The back still has most of the lead remaining but is lacking both of the iron attachment loops. Nice example with strong detail to the eagle. This plate was recovered from Cumberland Gap, Virginia.
