Description

Austrian 1842 Sword Bayonet

 

Massive sword bayonet designed for the Austrian 1842 “Kammerbuchse” rifle, one of the many obsolete firearms imported from European arsenals early in the Civil War. The bayonet has a socket with a 23” blade extending from it, for a total length of 28”. The bayonet has aged to a brown/gray patina. A nice addition to a Civil War European arms collection.
