Civil War “Connecticut” Cup
Also referred to as the New England Cup since so many of these were made for New England troops at the start of the war under private contract. Measures approximately 2″ tall, 4 1/2″ wide at mouth, and base is 3″. These examples are widely published in camp scenes and images of the early war. Formed without a seam they were stamped, comparable to bullseye canteens and mess plates of the war.
