Connecticut State Seal Coat Button – Inventory Number: BUT 316 / SOLD Circa 1860’s two   piece,   convex   coat size button which depicts   Connecticut   state seal symbolism, grape vines with   Latin inscription, “He who transplanted continues to sustain”.    Backmark:   “Extra Quality”.    Very fine condition, nice   gilt patina.   Shank present & straight.    Button card was de-accessed from the “The National Civil War Life Museum” of Fredericksburg, VA which featured thousands of items pertaining to the daily life of the Civil War Soldier and the era.   Inventory Number: BUT 316 / SOLD
