Early 19th Century Dutch Tobacco Box from Oak Grove, Virginia – Inventory Number: PER 383 / SOLD Oval, hinged lid brass tobacco box manufactured in the Netherlands for the American market, meticulously hand-engraved with a garden scene on the lid and a sailing ship scene on the bottom. The lid bears the engraved date of 1824 with script writing in Dutch. The box measures 5 3/8” by 2 ¾” by 1’. An old note inside the box states that it came from an estate in Oak Grove, Virginia. An attractive piece of early 19th century tobacciana.    Inventory Number: PER 383 / SOLD
