Framed The Iron Brigade Quickstep Music Sheet –  Sold Composed and published by H.N. Hempsted.  Has an illustrated cover with 5 vignettes of senior officers of this historic Wisconsin unit: Colonel E.S. Bragg, 6th Wisconsin, Colonel Williams, 19th Indiana, General “Sol” Meredith, Colonel Robinson 7th Wisconsin, and Colonel L. Fairchild, 2nd Wisconsin.   Above the vignettes are a panoply of flags with an eagle surmount.  Published by Hempsted in  Milwaukee, 1863, The Milwaukee Litho. & Engr. Co., 7 numbered pages with blank rear cover.  Dedicated to the Western Troops of the Army of the Potomac.  Frame is made of solild Tennessee Cherry, pattern #69 and framed by the Ches Johnson Photo Center, Kentucky.  H. N. Hempsted, William Rohlfing, Charles K. Harris, Joseph Flanner, and William Kaun all presided over successful music publishing operations. Typically, such enterprises were part of larger commercial endeavors that included the sale of sheet music, pianos, and other instruments. Hempsted and Rohlfing each developed  journals to promote their business but also to enrich the musical public through educational articles. Inventory Number: MUS 038 / Sold
