Neck of a Civil War Whiskey Bottle from an Alabama Camp, Dumfries, Virginia – Inventory Number: BOT 131 / SOLD Green glass neck portion of a Civil War whiskey bottle measuring 4” long, recovered on July 8, 2002, from an 1861 camp of Alabama Volunteer Corps troops located on Route 234 in Dumfries, Virginia. The bottle is wired to a cardboard backing with descriptive label. Legendary relic hunter and author Howard Crouch wrote extensively of this area in Relic Hunter: The field Account of Civil War Sites, Artifacts and Hunting.   Inventory Number: BOT 131 / SOLD
