Rare Civil War Soldier’s Officer’s Cape Pin of The Unknown Soldier

 

This is a Rare Civil War Soldier’s Officer’s Cape Pin of The Unknown Soldier Documented in Howard Crouch’s book: “Civil War Artifacts” (page 173). This particular pin is that of the “unknown soldier”. It was proudly worn by a soldier who most likely had acquired it from a sutler, as these were not government issued. More than likely made of brass as most types of pins were back then. It measures 1 1/4″ inches tall by 1″ inch wide. Great details on the face and top half of jacket.

Comes housed in 5 x 6 riker display case with red velvet and descriptive card.
