Relic Civil War Shoulder Strap – Inventory Number: INS 381 / SOLD Brass perimeter edging of a rank insignia known as a shoulder bar or shoulder strap. This example is a Smith’s patent example. Constructed of dense brass rather than the hand stitched bullion.  The bullion is false embroidered around the perimeter.  A nice battlefield recovered example.
