Tarred Militia Cartridge Box – Inventory Number: LEA 139 / SOLD Near pristine example of an early Civil War cartridge box with tarred surface to protect the cartridges from the elements.  The box is complete with its original tin liner, closure tab and both belt loops intact.  These were used by both sides in the early part of the war, although mostly associated with Confederate regiments.  hard to fins a better condition example!   Inventory Number: LEA 139 / SOLD
