World Class Embroidered Pair of Officer’s Gauntlets – Inventory Number: UNI 163 / SOLD Most of the examples of “Civil War Gauntlets” which are marketed as such are either post-Civil War examples or fraternal in nature. These are the quintessential characteristics of true wartime examples. They feature a chamois body with soft cuffs and a combination of both machine and hand-sewing. The surfaces feature superbly detailed floral design as seen on several of the more notables Civil War documented gauntlets such as those of General Sherman, Sheridan, and General Grant. The interiors are lined with a multi-colored woolen flannel. Exceptionally clean set, hard to improve upon examples from an officer with some swagger.  Comes housed in 12 x 16 riker display case with blue velvet and descriptive card.   Inventory Number: UNI 163 / SOLD
