Civil War Camp Style Shaving Mirror - Inventory Number: CAM 572 / SOLD
Embossed zinc compact traveling mirrors such as this were widely used during the war. Most were imported and sold by town merchants and sutlers to the soldiers in camp. This one is embossed with a scroll and dot design and raised maker’s stamp “E.R. Paris”. Wire stand and ring are present on the underside. Lid is lined in burgundy colored cloth. A nice item for a Civil War camp display. Measures: 2 ¾ diameter.
