Civil War Era Leather Lap Desk - Inventory Number:  CAM 508 / SOLD

Civil War period roll-up writing kit consisting of a hinged, tubular central container with two ivory-handled pens, a wooden ink well, and a cuff sized “eagle A” artillery button with D. Evans back mark. The container rolls up into the attached embossed leather flap, which also serves as a pocket for writing paper. The kit measures 8” by 1 ½” when folded and remains in good, solid condition. A fine addition to a display of a Civil War soldier’s personal effects.
