Civil War Field Telescope / Sold

Civil War era collapsible field telescope. Three brass sections draw out from the body of the scope, which is covered with a wooden sleeve. The eyepiece is opened and closed with a small, sliding brass aperture. The telescope still retains its original brass lens cap. Fully functional with clear optics. The scope measures about 8 ½” collapsed and 23 ½” fully extended. An attractive and functional Civil War optic.
