Civil War Guitar - Inventory Number: MUS 136 / SOLD
This is a rare Civil War guitar featuring the classic 1860's "ice cream cone" style neck joint. Several makers shared similar designs such as Martin, Hall & Sons as well as Ashborn.
The bone heads are original to brass turners. The fretted neck exhibits a wonderful patina and wear from use. The body is in sound condition with no cracks and also exhibits wear from use and handling. It has its original "end pin" and is mounted with six ebony bridge pins.
This is a wonderful, quality original 1860's guitar worthy of any Civil War or early musical instrument collection.
