Three-piece New Jersey staff coat button depicting the state coat of arms on the face and the backmark “HORSTMANN/N.Y. & PHILADa” with shank intact. The button is in very good condition with a high level of gilt. Listed as NJ200A1 in Tice’s button book. Civil War New Jersey buttons are difficult to find. A fine example. 

Comes housed in a 4 x 5 inch display case with black velvet backing and descriptive card.
