Civil War Surgical Kit - Inventory Number: MED 205 / SOLD

A well-constructed wood box lined in purple velvet, manufactured by the firm of Sharp and Smith of New York.  The kit is in excellent condition and retains tools necessary for amputation including: An amputation saw with detachable handle and blade for tendon and muscle removal, several scalpels, 2 bone chisels, trocar, tenaculum, and a sharpening stone. An excellent example at 1/5th of the expense of the capital operating kits.
